Michael Mullaney, Owner of Mullaney & Associates Physical Therapy Honored at American Physical Therapy Association Meeting
Michael Mullaney, DPT, of Mullaney & Associates Physical Therapy was honored at the American Physical Therapy Association Meeting.
Michael J. Mullaney, DPT, co-owner of Mullaney & Associates Physical therapy in Matawan, N.J. was the recipient of the Outstanding Service Award from the Sports Physical Therapy Section at the Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) in Indianapolis on February 6.
The award was presented to Mullaney in recognition of his long term contributions to the profession and the section. In 2009 and 2007, he was the recipient of the Excellence in Research Award at APTA’s Combined Sections Meeting.
Mullaney received his B.S. in Psychobiology from Albright College, Reading, Penn. in 1996 and a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Notre Dame College, Manchester, N.H. in 2001. He went on to finish his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Franklin Pierce University, Rindge, N.H. in 2006. In 2001, he began his career as a research physical therapist at the Nicholas Institute of Sports Medicine & Athletic Trauma (NISMAT) at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, where he continues to serve as a research consultant. Mullaney & Associates Physical Therapy was founded by Michael Mullaney and Christine Mullaney, DPT in 2006.
