Mitzvah Day at Temple Shalom in Aberdeen

Temple Shalom Mitzvah Day includes activities to help the community

Temple Shalom of Aberdeen held its Mitzvah Day on Sunday, April 2. Approximately 85 people participated. Activities included preparing Happy Snack packs for Lunch Break in Red Bank, writing notes to members of the military, preparing the Gan Tikvah (Garden of Hope) community vegetable garden for spring planting, and helping at the Old Bridge Animal Shelter. Members of the temple’s teenage group participated in a cleanup at Cliffwood Beach.

One of the Mitzvah Day projects was led by the Women of Temple Shalom. The group created blankets that will be donated to Blankie Depot, a non-profit organization, whose mission is to donate handmade blankets to New Jersey children suffering serious illness and trauma.
