Dog Adoption Event This Weekend In Aberdeen

The Villalobos Rescue Center will hold a mobile adoption event this weekend in Aberdeen.

The group’s first Swampy Mobile Adoption Event will be held at the Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming in Aberdeen from 11a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Tia Torres, the founder of the organization and star of the television show, “Pit Bulls and Parolees,” will be at the event, along with some other cast members and a camera crew, according to announcements about the event.

“But please understand, this is an adoption event and although many will come as “fans” again our priority is to come home with an empty bus,’’ the rescue center said on its Facebook page.

According to the group’s Facebook page, the organization has been overwhelmed with dogs since it took over the Assumption Parish Animal Shelter in Louisiana.
