Monmouth County Flood Risk Open Houses To Be Held Today and Tomorrow
The open houses will allow residents to talk to government representatives about flood risks, flood maps and related topics.

Residents of Monmouth and Ocean counties are invited to open houses to talk to government representatives about flood risks, flood maps and related topics.
The open houses will be held in Monmouth County today and tomorrow, while the programs will be held in Ocean County next week.
The programs are sponsored by the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium and its partners -- Monmouth University’s Urban Coast Institute, Stevens Institute of Technology, Leckner Consulting, FEMA, the state Department of Environmental Protection and several New Jersey county governments.

According to the Consortium, “the meetings are the next step in the mapping process for the Preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps.”
