Monmouth County Man Hid Lit Joint in Underwear, Police Say

A Cliffwood man was arrested Saturday night in northern New Jersey.

Hackettstown, NJ - Some people were hiding Easter eggs this past weekend. Instead, this local man was trying to hide a lit joint from the police — in his underwear, Hackettstown police say.

A Monmouth County man was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Saturday on Rt. 46 in Hackettstown, Warren County. Police initially pulled Jerome Postell, 33, over because one of his headlights was out, they said.

As the officer approached Postell's car, he saw smoke coming out of it, and smelled marijuana burning, he said. Postell had just lit a joint, and then placed it in his underwear to hide it when he was pulled over, police said.
