Monmouth County Police Blotter

Defendants include residents of Holmdel, Middletown, Hazlet, Keansburg, Matawan and Manalapan.

Police said they recently arrested defendants on charges that include possession of a weapon, obstruction, and burglary.

According to police in Middletown, Manalapan and Aberdeen:

Matthew McKee, 29, from Pedee Place in Middletown, was arrested on June 9 by Middletown Patrolman Brian McGrogan on charges of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and aggravated assault. He was released after posting $15,000 bail.

Alex Halpin, 21, from Bethany Road in Holmdel, was arrested on June 12 by Middletown Patrolman Daniel Benbrook on a charge of obstructing the administration of law. He was released pending a court date.

Jon Siegert, 27, from Poplar Street in Keansburg, was arrested on June 15 by Middletown Patrolman Christopher Menendez on charges of possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court date.

Around 8 a.m. June 15, Manalapan police responded to the report of a burglary at Donny’s Deli, 339 Route 9 south, in Manalapan because the glass to the front door was shattered and $500 in cash was reported to have been taken from the register. On June 16, around 1:30 p.m., 24-year-old Jonathan Barjudinas of Manalapan was arrested and charged with burglary, criminal mischief, and theft as a result of the investigation into the burglary. Bail for Barjudinas was set at $30,000 and he was sent to the Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township. Barjudinas also had a warrant for his arrest from the Manalapan Township Municipal Court. Detectives Ken Mikulik and Jared Aronson handled the investigation.

At 6:30 p.m. June 18, two 20-year-old Freehold Township residents - a man and woman -- went to Manalapan police headquarters and reported a theft. Both said that while getting a massage at a salon in Manalapan, a total of $130 was removed from their belongings, which were left in the salon locker room. The investigation is ongoing.

Nikki Monticillo, 26, from Lola Lane in Matawan, was arrested on June 17 by Middletown Patrolman Jason Troshane on a charge of disorderly conduct, and was released pending a court date.

Daniel Beers, 26, from Briscoe Terrace in Hazlet, was arrested on June 17 by Middletown Patrolman Michael Heaton on a charge of theft and on contempt of court warrants issued by the Egg Harbor, Neptune City and Seaside Heights Municipal Courts. He was held on $5,000.

On June 18 Joseph D. Osmond, 30, Bayview Avenue, Keansburg, was arrested by Aberdeen police. Police said he used an altered/counterfeit credit card and committed witness tampering related to an incident on June 7 on Oakshades Avenue. Detective Anthony Valentino was the arresting officer and Officer Hank Chevalier took the initial report. 


At 4:58 p.m. June 19, a 68-year-old Manalapan resident told police someone dumped oil onto her flowers outside of her residence sometime that afternoon. The incident remains under investigation. Officer Brian Cruse took the report.
