Monmouth County YMCAs and Whole Foods Team Up for Healthy Living and Social Responsibility
Whole Foods Market Middletown will donate 5% of all sales on September 23 to The Community YMCA.

The Community YMCA and The YMCA of Western Monmouth County are teaming up with Whole Foods Market to promote healthy living. For those who shop at Whole Foods Market in Middletown or Marlboro on Sept. 23, 5% of net sales will be donated to both YMCAs to benefit the YMCA Financial Assistance Fund and community outreach programs, such as Teen Achievers.
To help give everyone a fresh start to a healthy lifestyle, those who shop Whole Foods Market on Sept. 23 and are not Y members will be given an opportunity for a one-month free trial membership at the Y. To activate their trial membership, shoppers will need to bring their receipt from Sept. 23 to the YMCA in Freehold or Red Bank by Tuesday, Sept. 30. YMCA members can bring their receipts and receive up to four free guest passes. Some restrictions may apply.
“By joining together, Whole Foods Market and the Y are helping to strengthen our community through advocating healthy living,” said Rhonda Anderson, President and CEO of The Community YMCA. “Both organizations believe that learning to focus on eating well, exercising and adopting a healthy lifestyle will strengthen not only individuals, but also families and communities.

Cynthia Joy, President and CEO of the YMCA of Western Monmouth County, said the Y “is so much more than a great place to swim and work out. The Y helps everyone live healthier. Financial support for the Y from Whole Foods and other donors enables us to provide financial assistance for all to learn, grow and thrive.”
