New Jersey's 2013 campaigns for state Legislature are funded by $27.7 million in contributions, NJ Spotlight reports.

Candidates in New Jersey’s legislative races have raised $27.7 million to fund their 2013 campaigns, according to NJ Spotlight analysis of New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission data.
Here's how the fundraising is going in the 12th District, excluding candidates who are not required to file due to low spending:
State Senate
Samuel D. Thompson (R) - $85,978
Raymond D. Dothard (D) - $13,438
State Assembly
Ronald Dancer (R) - $74,876
The district includes Allentown, Chesterfield, Englishtown, Jackson, Manalapan, Matawan, Millstone, New Hanover, North Hanover, Old Bridge, Plumsted, Roosevelt, Upper Freehold, and Wrightstown.
