New Online Health Resource Available At Matawan Aberdeen Library
A new resource is available at the Matawan Aberdeen Public Library to support mental, physical, and emotional health for any age group.
MATAWAN-ABERDEEN, NJ — A new resource is available at the Matawan Aberdeen Public Library to support mental, physical, and emotional health for any age group, the library said.
NJHealthConnect is a database connecting residents with apps and links to telemedicine sites. Residents may check an iPad out of the Computer Services desk to use the database, the library said.
One of the links is to the Trevor Project, which is a suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ youth. Trained counselors are available 24/7 to talk.

The database "addresses inequities through a combination of technology that offers links to telemedicine apps for doctor appointments, and links to COVID and high-quality health literacy resources," the New Jersey State `Library said.
NJHealthConnect is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act.
