Old Bridge: Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Rt. 9 Monday

OLD BRIDGE, NJ — A pedestrian was struck and killed on Rt. 9 Monday, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's office.

The woman, whose identity is not being revealed pending notification to her family, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 10:52 a.m.

Police say the woman was hit by a car as she was crossing in Old Bridge; the car was traveling on Rt. 9 north near Ticetown Road.

No charges have been filed, but the investigation is active and is continuing.
