Old Bridge Tobacco King Store Robbed
The Tobacco King store on Rt. 516 in Old Bridge was robbed on Tuesday, according to Old Bridge Township Police.
OLD BRIDGE, NJ — The Tobacco King store on Rt. 516 in Old Bridge was robbed on Tuesday, according to Old Bridge Township Police.
Police say that at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday a slim African-American man with short hair, wearing a white shirt with a distinctive design, navy blue Adidas three-stripe running pants and slip-on shoes stole from the store and assaulted the owner.
Police say he entered the store and requested a CBD disposable vape device valued at $34.99. As the store clerk placed the item on the counter, the subject took it and ran out of the store.

The clerk chased after the subject and at one point was struck in the head with a closed fist by the man. The clerk then returned to the store and called 911.
The suspect ran on foot toward Brynwood apartments. Witnesses believe the suspect was walking a white bike prior to the crime.

Old Bridge Police released these surveillance photos Wednesday to their Facebook page, but now say the suspect has been identified, located and taken into police custody. Mohamed Diallo, 23, of Old Bridge, was located by police Wednesday. He was charged with second-degree robbery by force, processed and lodged at Middlesex County Jail.
"After posting a photo from surveillance footage on Facebook, we received tips on the subject," said Old Bridge Police in a statement. "After further investigation the subject was identified and located."
