Perth Amboy Woman Sexually Assaulted At Knifepoint, Police Say
A Perth Amboy man was arrested and charged with following a woman and sexually assaulting her at knifepoint outside her home Aug. 9.
PERTH AMBOY, NJ — A Perth Amboy man was arrested Tuesday and charged with following a woman and sexually assaulting her at knifepoint outside her home on August 9, according to the Middlesex County prosecutor.
Ricardo Powell, 33, of Perth Amboy was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, weapons charges and other offenses.
Police say the attack occurred at 12:43 a.m.: Powell, while armed with a knife, approached the 20-year old woman, and sexually assaulted her outside of her home.

He did not know his victim, police said.
Powell is currently being held in the Middlesex County jail.
