Police: Monmouth County Homes Burglarized, Vehicle Stolen

Holmdel police say someone forced entry into two township homes and ransacked bedrooms, searching for valuables.
A vehicle was stolen from the garage of one of the homes, but it was later recovered in town, Holmdel police said on their Facebook page.
The burglaries occurred between 9 p.m. Thursday and Sunday evening on Duncan Drive. They were reported around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police said residents should take precautions to safeguard their homes, before leaving for vacation. They also asked residents to report suspicious vehicles or people in their neigborhoods.
