Possible Barricaded Man In Matawan: Reports
Authorities have surrounded a house where "pops" have been heard, according to reports.

Authorities surrounded a Matawan house on Monday where "pops" were heard, and a barricaded man was possibly inside, according to reports. The incident has been described as an "active law enforcement situation."
An Asbury Park Press reporter at the scene heard five or six pops at about 4:25 p.m. and three more at about 4:40 p.m., according to the publication. The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office tweeted a little after 6 p.m. that there was no threat to the public.
Police blocked off Atlantic Avenue at Little Street, according to the newspaper. Personnel from Matawan Police Department, Oceanport Police Department and Monmouth County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.
