Properly Dressed: Art and Reality in 18th and Early 19th Century Dress in Monmouth Exhibition Closes

Last chance to see the exhibition that explores the fascinating dichotomy between historic clothing and personal accessories and the interpretation of these garments and accessories by artists of the time period. Monmouth County Historical Association is uniquely qualified to present an exhibition which incorporates both selections from its 18th and early 19th century historic clothing collection as well as from its strong portrait collection. In both cases, the identities of both portrait subjects and clothing owners and wearers are known.
