Roller Derby Bout To Raise Money For Veterans Charities

A November 12 roller derby bout at Tab Ramos Sports Center in Aberdeen will serve as a fundraiser for Operation Comfort Warrior, a veterans charity through the American Legion.

The doors open at 5:30 p.m. Saturday November 12, and the whistle for the first game is 6:30 p.m. This event features the high-intensity sport of women’s flat-track roller derby in a double header of games: first is the youth leagues of Jersey Junior Roller Derby versus Pittsburgh Derby Brats, followed by the host team the Central Jersey Roller Vixens playing Mid-Hudson Misfits Roller Derby.

A portion of the proceeds will go toward Operation Comfort Warrior.

Tickets can be purchased at tinyurl.com/nov12derby or at the door that day. Tab Ramos is located at 16 Blair Road, Aberdeen.
