Scholar-in-Residence Weekend at Temple Shalom
Visiting scholar Rabbi Amy Scheinerman brings unique insight to Talmudic and Jewish texts

Temple Shalom’s Scholar-in-Residence Weekend will take place on Friday evening, April 28 and Saturday, April 29. Rabbi Amy Scheinerman is this year’s guest scholar. Rabbi Scheinerman is an energetic and engaging speaker and teacher who specializes in teaching Talmudic texts that respond to universal human concerns with uniquely Jewish insights.
The weekend will feature a series of programs with Rabbi Scheinerman. On Friday evening, Rabbi Scheinerman will speak on the topic “Getting Relationships Right: Our Rabbis’ Advice for Modern Living”. Services begin at 7:45 pm.
Saturday sessions include “Can We All Learn to Play Nicely in the Sandbox?”, “The Rabbis’ Radical View of God”, “Gender, Sex and Sexuality: Did They Really Say That?”
