Scholar-in-Residence Weekend at Temple Shalom
Guest Scholar Rabbi Rex Perlmeter on May 8th and 9th
Temple Shalom’s Scholar-in-Residence Weekend will take place on Friday evening, May 8 and Saturday, May 9. Rabbi Rex Perlmeter, founder of The Jewish Wellness Center of North Jersey, is this year’s guest scholar.
On Friday evening, Rabbi Perlmeter will speak at services which begin at 7:45 pm. Saturday morning begins at 9:15 am with Torah study. Shabbat morning services follow at 10:30 am. This service is enhanced by chant, meditation and gentle movement.
The topic of the afternoon discussion is “Staying Connected When Living and Loving Hurt: Personal and Traditional Reflections on Loss and Renewal”. This starts at 1:15 pm and follows a Kiddush luncheon.

The cost for lunch is $10.00. Reservations and prepayments for lunch are due by Wednesday, May 6th.
