South Amboy Woman Killed In DWI Motorcycle Crash, Police Say

A 36-year-old South Amboy woman lost her life in what police say was a drunk driving motorcycle crash last Thursday in Old Bridge Township.

OLD BRIDGE, NJ — A 36-year-old South Amboy woman lost her life in what police say was a drunk driving motorcycle crash last Thursday in Old Bridge Township.

Jessica Vinsko, 36, of South Amboy, has been identified as the deceased passenger.

The crash occurred at 11:50 p.m. Thursday, July 16 on Rt. 35 in Old Bridge: Jack Piatek, 27, of Sayreville, was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle north on 35 in the area of Industrial Drive, when he lost control, causing himself and the woman to be ejected from the bike.

She was riding on the back of the bike when they were both ejected from the bike, said police.

He was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and treated for his injuries, but Vinskowas pronounced deceased at the scene.

Piatek has since been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide caused by driving while under the influence of alcohol, said Middlesex County prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, newly sworn in this July. He was also issued several motor vehicle summonses, including driving while intoxicated.

Piatek is currently being held in the Middlesex County jail.
