Sponsorship opportunities are now available for area businesses and groups for the 2018 Town-Wide Aberdeen Day event on Sat,, September 29

Mayor Fred Tagliarini and the Aberdeen Township Council, and the Economic Business Council are pleased to announce that sponsorships and a variety of other opportunities are now available for local businesses and organizations for the seventh annual town-wide Aberdeen Day celebration. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, September 29 at Matawan Regional High School and various locations around Aberdeen.

This year’s event will start on Saturday morning with a 5k Run/Walk to benefit the Cambridge Park Pre-School, which leads into the traditional celebration at Matawan Regional High School, special business-sponsored events at shopping centers on Routes 34 and 35, and the Seine the Bay Event at Cliffwood Beach. To facilitate travel between the venues, free shuttle service will once again be offered.

“With multiple levels of sponsorship and participation programs ranging in price from $50 to $1,000, opportunities exist for businesses of all sizes and budgets at a variety of venues,” said Aberdeen Recreation Director Jim Colabelli.

High School sponsorship packages priced from $250 to $1,000 offer exposure prior to and during the municipality’s annual celebration. The $1,000 Platinum package, for example, includes mentions on the township website and Facebook page, a lawn sign at the high school, press releases, and in the Aberdeen Day program. The $650 Gold sponsorship includes mentions on the township website and Facebook page, a lawn sign at the high school and in the Aberdeen Day program, while the $250 Silver package offers exposure on the township website and Facebook page and in the Aberdeen Day program.

Businesses and crafters can exhibit at the High School for $50, while food vendors, volunteer and youth groups can participate free-of-charge.

Outside of the High School, sponsorship opportunities ranging from $150 for Shuttle Stop signage to $500 for large banners on Routes 34 and 35 are available.

Among the most popular events outside the High School are the food festivals hosted by DeMarco’s Catering & Gourmet Deli at the Stop & Shop Center and Livoti’s Old World Market at Aberdeen Town Square. For the second year in a row, businesses located at Aberdeen’s shopping centers will be allowed to set up a table outside of their store free-of-charge. “Eliminating the fee made it possible for a greater number of businesses to take part in the shopping center events last year, and we are delighted to offer that opportunity once again,” said Economic Business Council Chairman Carmine Visone.

“Participating in Aberdeen Day is a great way for businesses and organizations to make themselves known to residents from Aberdeen and surrounding communities, including the many newcomers moving into the new residential developments around town,” noted Mayor Fred Tagliarini.
