Sponsorships Available for 2019 Townwide Aberdeen Day

Sponsorships and other opportunities are now available for local businesses and organizations for the eighth annual town-wide Aberdeen Day.

Mayor Fred Tagliarini and the Aberdeen Township Council, the Economic Business Council and Recreation Department are pleased to announce that sponsorships and a variety of other opportunities are now available for local businesses and organizations for the eighth annual town-wide Aberdeen Day celebration. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, September 28 at Matawan Regional High School and various locations around Aberdeen.

Aberdeen Day 2019 will start in the morning with a 5k Run/Walk to benefit the Cambridge Park Pre-School, which leads into the traditional celebration at Matawan Regional High School, special business-sponsored events at shopping centers on Routes 34 and 35, and more. To facilitate travel between the venues, free shuttle service will once again be offered.

“With multiple levels of sponsorship and participation programs ranging from $50 to $1,000, Aberdeen Day offers an array of opportunities for businesses of all sizes and budgets,” said Aberdeen Recreation Director Jim Colabelli.

High School sponsorship packages priced from $250 to $1,000 offer exposure prior to and during the municipality’s annual celebration. The $1,000 Platinum package includes mentions on the township website and Facebook page, a lawn sign at the high school, press releases, and in the Aberdeen Day program. The $650 Gold sponsorship includes mentions on the township website and Facebook page, a lawn sign at the high school and in the Aberdeen Day program, while the $250 Silver package offers exposure on the township website and Facebook page and in the Aberdeen Day program.

Businesses will also have the opportunity to sponsor the popular Autograph Signing event, taking place for the first time at the High School. The $500 Autograph Signing package includes mentions on the township website and Facebook page, Aberdeen Day program and sponsor sign at the event.

Businesses and crafters can exhibit at the High School for $50, while food vendors, volunteer and youth groups can participate free-of-charge.

Additional sponsorship opportunities ranging from $150 for Shuttle Stop signage to $500 for large banners on Routes 34 and 35 are also available.

Among the most popular events outside the High School are the food festivals hosted by DeMarco’s Catering & Gourmet Deli at the Stop & Shop Center and Livoti’s Old World Market at Aberdeen Town Square. For the third year in a row, businesses located at Aberdeen’s shopping centers will be allowed to set up a table outside of their store free-of-charge.

“Every year Aberdeen Day gets bigger and better with the addition of new activities,” noted Mayor Fred Tagliarini. “As a result, we have seen an increase in attendees from Aberdeen and nearby towns. Participating is a great way for businesses and organizations to make themselves known to all.”
