"Hi! My name is Lexus, and I am the daughter. My mom’s name is Buffie," writes Matawan resident Lexus, pictured above. "We are from Matawan. I want my Mom to know that she is my hero. She is dedicated and disciplined to achieve the goals she sets for herself. I am so proud of her! She is beautiful inside and out and I love her very much. Fought two types of thyroid cancer. I would love to say: Mom, you are my hero. I am who I am because you were there to push me. I love you and thank you! Love, Pollyanna."

"My name is Jennifer Lorig and this lovely young lady is my daughter, Kaylee Lorig," writes the Aberdeen mother above. "Just wanted to say what an amazing person my daughter Kaylee is, with having great grades in school, being a fun sister to her younger brothers, and being an all-around caring person. I could not ask for anything more. Her father and I are so very proud of her! Thank you for giving me a chance to say something special for my daughter Kaylee."
