Thunderstorms May Bring Damaging Winds To Monmouth County

Rain and thunderstorms may bring damaging winds and could cause localized flash flooding Thursday in Monmouth County, forecasters say.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook, saying thunderstorms are expected in Central Jersey Thursday afternoon and evening.

Some of that rain may be heavy, which could cause localized flash flooding, the weather service said.

Some of the thunderstorms may also cause strong, damaging winds, according to that notice.

In Monmouth County scattered thunderstorms may begin around 8:30 p.m. Thursday and continue until midnight, according to weather.com.
