Togetherhood Initiative Brings YMCA Members Together to Serve Others
Y Announces Baby Supply Drive to Support 180 Turning Lives Around

The Community YMCA’s Togetherhood initiative is hosting a baby supply drive now through July 13 for 180 Turning Lives Around, a private non-profit organization dedicated to ending domestic and sexual violence in the community.
“Togetherhood is a great opportunity for Y members to activate social responsibility and give back to organizations like 180 Turning Lives Around that need our help,” said The Community YMCA President and CEO Rhonda Anderson.
Items needed by 180 Turning Lives Around include: baby powder, baby wash, baby wipes, blankets, towels and pull ups and diapers in sizes 4-6. A collection bin is available in the lobby of The Community YMCA’s Family Health & Wellness Center, 166 Maple Ave., in Red Bank. To make an online donation, visit Crowdrise and note “Togetherhood” in the form.

The Community YMCA launched Togetherhood, a national service project, last summer as part of its commitment to social responsibility. “The Y is dedicated to giving back and supporting our neighbors,” said Holly Haines, Y staff adviser of Togetherhood. “Community collection drives make a meaningful difference since donated items go right back into the community for our neighbors most in need.”
Community residents are encouraged to join Y members in supporting the baby supply drive. For more information, call at 732.741.2504, ext. 218 or e-mail hhaines@cymca.org.
