Two Days Left For Monmouth County Summer Seining Program

The summer seining program at Bayshore Waterfront Park in Middletown runs from 11 a.m. to noon. Children under 18 must be with an adult.

There are just a couple of days left for this summer’s seining program at Bayshore Waterfront Park in Middletown.

The program runs from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday and Friday at the park, 719 Port Monmouth Road in the Port Monmouth section of town.

A 30-foot seine net is pulled through Sandy Hook Bay to find a variety of creatures, including fish and crabs, according to the Monmouth County Parks website.

Closed-toe shoes are required. Sunscreen and drinking water are recommended.

The program is open to all ages. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
