Update: Dog Identified, Returned To Owner
Police say the dog found in Monmouth County Tuesday is named Peanut and has been returned to her owner.
Police have found the owner of the dog found in Hazlet Tuesday morning.
The dog’s name is Peanut and she has been returned to her owner, police said.
The animal had been found near the Newman Street and 11th Street area.

More than 1,500 people viewed the Hazlet Police Department’s Facebook post, and in less than an hour, police said they had identified the dog.
