Veteran Matawan Jazz Singer Releases CD

    Longtime Matawan-based Jazz Singer, Vocal Coach Releases CD

I’ve been a Matawan resident for over 40 years. My four children graduated MRHS. And I’ve had a long career as a working singer, bandleader, songwriter, voice teacher---and as a single mom, raising those kids. Two of my sons, Steve and John Conte are now well-known professional musicians and producers based in NYC. Steve, John, and daughter Jennifer (Peter Conte Salon & Spa, Matawan) gave me a big surprise on Mother’s Day 2014. They found tapes from a “lost” NYC recording session of mine--something I had forgotten about, Steve took charge of mastering, digitizing, getting graphics done and all else associated with releasing this on his record label. The three surprised me with this 7-track CD “Rosemary Conte, But Beautiful,“ on Mother’s Day 2014.
