Where Can Matawan-Aberdeen Residents Get A Third Vaccine Dose?

ABERDEEN, NJ — Those who are eligible and would like one can now get a third dose of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.

In late September, the CDC released the following guidance on who should consider getting the third shot, at least six months after they got the first two shots:

• People 65 years and older and residents in long-term care settings should receive a booster shot
• People age 50–64 years with these underlying medical conditions should receive a booster shot
• People age 18–49 years with these underlying medical conditions may receive a booster shot, based on their individual benefits and risk
• People aged 18-64 years who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional settings, including healthcare workers, may receive a booster shot, based on their individual benefits and risks.
