In Matawan borough, there are two seats open and four candidates who seek to fill them:
MATAWAN, NJ — In the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, who can forget 2020 is an election year? And it's not just at the presidential level, as President Trump seeks to secure a second term.
In Matawan borough, there are two seats open and four candidates who seek to fill them: Current council members Deana Gunn and Stephanie Buckel, both Democrats, seek to retain their seats. They are running with the support of the Monmouth County Democratic party.
They will be challenged by Republicans Anissa Esposito and Laura Selby, running with the backing of the Monmouth County Republican Organization.

The primary election has been pushed back to July 7. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
