Woman Killed, Man Hospitalized In Aberdeen Motorcycle Crash

A Keyport man additionally was treated at a hospital and released, the prosecutor's office said.

ABERDEEN, NJ — A woman has died and a man remains hospitalized following a collision between a motorcycle and a car in Aberdeen on Wednesday night, the Monmouth County prosecutor's office said Thursday.

Jessica Czajkowski, 20, of Woodbridge, died of injuries sustained in the crash that happened shortly after 8 p.m. on Amboy Road, Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni said.

Czajkowski was a passenger on a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle driven by Charles G. Romer, 21, of Carteret, that was headed north on Amboy Road. As they approached the intersection of Prospect Avenue the Kawasaki hit a 2004 Nissan Sentra driven by Hugo Bautista Eufracio Alejandro, 49, of Keyport, the prosecutor's office said.

Czajkowski and Romer were thrown from the motorcycle and sustained life-threatening injuries. Czajkowski was pronounced dead at a local hospital at 8:42 p.m. Roger remains hospitalized, the prosecutor said.

Alejandro was treated at a hospital for injuries he sustained in the crash and was released.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, and Aberdeen Police Department and the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART).
