• Medford To Host Free Oktoberfest With 20 Bands, Competitions, German Food (wmgk.com) — Medford's free Oktoberfest & Music Festival is coming to Freedom Park on Sept. 18–19 with 20 bands, German food, contests, and a big kids zone. You'll find beer gardens, trivia, dance lessons, and family activities, plus free parking at the park and shuttle service from lots around town. Leashed dogs, chairs, and blankets are welcome, rain or shine.
• Yankees Announce Season-Ending News for 26-Year-Old Pitcher (yardbarker.com) — A Medford native, Yankees pitching prospect Brian Hendry has been moved to the 60-day injured list at Triple-A, ending his 2026 season. The 26-year-old right-hander, drafted in 2023, had just worked back from multiple elbow surgeries and climbed from rookie ball to Triple-A before this latest setback. He's now targeting a return in 2027.
