11 Guns Stolen From Morris County Shooting Range: Feds

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a $10,000 reward for information about 11 guns stolen in Randolph.

RANDOLPH, NJ — A $10,000 reward is being offered for anyone who has information on the theft of 11 handguns from a Morris County shooting range Tuesday night, The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) announced on Thursday.

RTSP Firearms and Training, a shooting range located on Route 10 in Randolph, was broken into just before 11 p.m. Tuesday night, the ATF said. Approximately 11 handguns were stolen.

There is no "imminent danger" as a result of the robbery, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said on Wednesday.

ATF and NSSF are both contributing $5,000 towards the $10,000 reward, which is part of a national initiative involving stolen licensed firearms.

“Keeping illegal firearms from hitting the streets is ATF’s number one priority. We will relentlessly pursue any criminals who attempt to acquire or distribute stolen weapons and we will utilize all of our resources to ensure that they are held accountable for their violent and dangerous actions," said John B. Devito, a special agent with the ATF said.
