2 Incumbents Won't Seek Re-Election to School Boards in the Mendhams

Both the Mendham Borough and Mendham Township school districts will have new faces in 2016.

A newcomer for the Mendham Borough board of education filed a petition to run in the November Election prior to the Monday, July 27 deadline, while an incumbent on each board will not seek re-election for 2016.

In Mendham Borough, incumbents Beth Cocuzza and AnneMarie Hornyak are seeking additional three-year terms, alongside newcomer Stephen Dolan.

Sitting board member Fred Schoenbrodt will not seek another term.

In Mendham Township, incumbent Fion Wood will seek another three-year term on the November ballot, but current Vice President Andrew Christmann will not, letting his term expire Dec. 31.

No newcomers filed to run on the November ballot in Mendham Township, so the write-in candidate with the most tallies will assume the seat in 2016.

Brian Cavanaugh and Rob Strobel, representing Mendham Borough and Mendham Township on the West Morris Regional Board of Education respectively, are not up for election this year.
