2-Hour Delayed Opening For All Local Schools Tuesday

A smothering winter storm that dumped some 10 inches of snow on the Mendhams and Chesters Monday was cause enough to open the doors late on Tuesday, as all local districts have announced delayed openings.

Because of the early February storm, Chester, Mendham Borough, Mendham Township and West Morris Regional school districts were closed Monday, and for good reason. Snow began accumulating before sunrise and became extremely heavy at times during the morning hours. 

This is West Morris Regional's third snow day of the year, and it is the fourth for Mendham Borough. Any use of inclement weather days beyond the allotted four per year will result in having to alter the school calendar.
