2-Hour Delayed Opening For All Local Schools Wednesday

For the third straight day this week, schools will have an altered schedule – if they have a schedule at all – due to inclement weather. 

The Chester, Mendham Borough, Mendham Township and West Morris Regional High School districts all announced two-hour delayed openings for Wednesday, Feb. 5 ahead of an impending storm expected to dump up to 10 inches of snow on the area. 

All local schools were closed Monday, followed by a delayed opening Tuesday. All districts are holding out hope the storm won't be as forecasted, but will make final decisions Wednesday morning regarding full closures. 

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie declared a state of emergency Tuesday night before a single flake had fallen.
