-40 Degree Wind Chills As Brutal Cold Freezes NJ
While all of New Jersey dealt with dangerous cold, one part of the Garden State saw an astounding figure.

While all of New Jersey dealt with inhumanely cold weather Friday through Sunday, there was one area in the Garden State that saw wind chills drop to -40, according to the National Weather Service.
New Jersey experienced some of the coldest readings in the region. Hunterdon County's Glen Gardner reported the lowest temperature in the region at -23 degrees Fahrenheit at 8:20 a.m..
Budd Lake in Morris County also reached -23 degrees. Harbor City in Atlantic County saw -16 degrees, Burlington County's Oswego Lake and Moorestown each reported -16 degrees.

High Point Monument in Sussex County registered a wind chill of -40 degrees Fahrenheit at 7:50 a.m. Sunday morning.
The observations were collected from various sources with differing equipment and exposures and not all are considered official, the National Weather Service said..
