$50K Lottery Ticket Sold In Morris County

DOVER, NJ — One Morris County lottery player finished their weekend $50,000 richer after their numbers were drawn during a Powerball drawing.

The winning ticket, one of four big winners sold in the state, was purchased at Basket of Cheer (331 Route 46 West, Dover). The winning numbers for the Saturday, Sept. 16 drawing were 17, 18, 24, 25 and 31. The red powerball was 24, and the multiplier was 2.

Three other stores also sold tickets worth either $50,000 or $100,000:

• Camden County ($100,000): Kresson News, 47 S. Lakeview Dr., Gibbsboro;
• Middlesex County ($100,000): Quick Stop Food Store, 1665 Stelton Rd., Piscataway;
• Camden County ($50,000): Poor Richard’s News Shoppe, 1118 Blackwood Clementon
• Rd., Pine Hill

The Powerball jackpot was won in Colorado; that player took home $133.2 million.

“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said Hedinger. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase. Power Play doubles the second prize from one million dollars to two million dollars and multiplies all of the seven lower prize sets available in the game by the number drawn that evening. The jackpot prize is not multiplied.”
