Please come to the Pottersville Community House on Saturday,
June 7 at 7:30 p.m. for an evening full of live music and refreshments as the
Pottersville Church launches their summer community event programming. The
first Saturday of each month the Community House will transform its charming
upper room into a candle-lit, Acoustic Café complete with café tables,
complementary food and live music performed by local musicians. Starting things off are Raphael & Aly who have been part of
the New Jersey music scene for the last 20 years. They began performing as a couple in 2003 in
Nashville, Tennessee, where they collaborated and recorded with a variety of well-known
music industry artists. Both New Jersey
natives, they returned to their home state several years ago and have been
performing regularly at Gabriel's Fountain in Martinsville and The Barbaric
Bean in Ocean Grove. Their original
music genre is predominately soft rock, but if anyone requests a classic 70s
ballad (such as Fire and Rain by
James Taylor), they will likely know it.
The event will run from 7:30 – 9:00. There is no cover charge but donations are
encouraged. Raphael and Aly's CD's will be on hand for purchase. The Community House is located at 2091 Black
River Road in Pottersville, directly across from the Pottersville Church. Please call 908-439-3913 or email
pottersville.church@aol.com for more information regarding Pottersville’s
monthly Acoustic Café performances in addition to their monthly swing dances
and other community events.
