Alstede Farms, Customers Donate 12,000 Pounds of Produce to Interfaith Pantry
Business makes up for a quarter of pantry's overall donations.

It was a big year of giving for Alstede Farms, when in 2014 the local business donated more than 12,000 pounds of produce to the Interfaith Food Pantry in Morris County.
The Chester Township farm stand offered its CSA customers – Community Supported Agriculture – the option to donate any of their shares to the food pantry as well in the event of a vacation or inability to pick up their produce.
All tolled Alstede gave 12,013 pounds of its homegrown local produce to the food pantry, accounting for 25-percent of the organization’s fresh fruits and vegetables over the course of the year.

“Thank you! Our clients enjoy the variety of fresh produce we consistently receive from Alstede’s throughout the growing season,” said Katy Galton, Interfaith’s Nutrition Educator in a statement. “The locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs are a welcome addition to the non-perishable items that are available!”
