Mendham Borough Voter's Guide For 2026 Primaries

MENDHAM, NJ — A consequential primary election is underway in Mendham Borough, and early voting has begun.

This year, two candidates, including the incumbent, are vying for the Republican nomination for the mayor's office.

Incumbent Mayor James Kelly is facing off against former councilman Neil Henry in seeking the nomination. Whoever wins the primary will likely run unopposed in the general election, as no Democrats have filed a petition at this time.

Additionally, four Republicans are seeking two nominations for Mendham Borough's council. See a list of who will be on the ballot (* denotes incumbent):

Where To Vote On Election Day

The Primary Election is on June 2, and Mendham Borough residents can vote that day in one of three locations.

Residents in districts 3 and 4 will vote in the Fire House's First Aid Bay Area at 24 East Main Street in Mendham.

Residents in districts 1 and 3 will vote in the Garabrant Center's Main Meeting Room at 4 Wilson Street in Mendham.

Residents in District 5 will vote in the Mendham Area Senior Housing Office Building's Meeting Room at 1 Heritage Manor Drive in Mendham.

Polling places will be open on June 2 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Early In-Person Voting

Early in-person voting began on Tuesday and will run until Sunday. Polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Vote by Mail/Drop Box:

Residents once again have the opportunity to vote by mail in the 2026 Primary Election.

Those who want to vote by mail must have filled out this application no later than seven days before the election.

Those who have already enrolled in the county’s vote-by-mail process may have already received their mail-in ballot, or should receive it in the coming days.

Once the vote-by-mail ballot is filled out, it can be sent or delivered to:

Ballots can also be hand-delivered to the Board of Elections Office, which is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m:
