MENDHAM BOROUGH, NJ — Polls for Mendham Borough's Primary Election have closed, and results are beginning to stream in.
This year's primary election is set to be a consequential one in Mendham Borough, with the current mayor and former mayor vying for the position.
Four candidates are also vying for two spots on the Mendham Borough Council.
Mayoral Race (Vote for 1)
Incumbent Mayor James Kelly and former Mayor Neil Henry are seeking the Republican nomination to run for Mayor in November.
With no Democrats having filed a petition for the position, the winner of Tuesday night's primary election will likely run unopposed come November.
Kelly, a plumber and HVAC specialist, served on the council since 2019 before he was appointed as mayor in 2025. He was elected to finish the fourth year of Mayor Christine Serrano Glassner's term.
Henry, who currently works as Boonton's Town Administrator, previously served as Mendham Borough's mayor from 2007 to 2017. He also served on the borough's council from 2001 to 2006.

Council Race (Vote for 2)
Four Republican candidates are vying for two nomination spots on the Mendham Borough Council.
Running on the "Mendham Republicans" slogan are incumbent Marilyn Althoff and Marrie-Rose Garbac.
Newcomers Mike Zedalis and Joseph Murphy are running under the "Restoring Trust. Running Mendham Right" slogan.
