MENDHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — Residents will have the opportunity to take care of several New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission transactions close to home next month when the MVC's "Agency on Wheels" mobile unit visits Mendham Township.
The township has partnered with Assemblywoman Aura Dunn and the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission to host the mobile unit on Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mendham Township Municipal Building.
The traveling MVC office will offer several commonly requested services, including:
Appointments are required. Online registration for available time slots opens Wednesday at 1 p.m. through the New Jersey MVC's mobile unit scheduling portal.
The mobile unit is designed to make MVC services more accessible by bringing them directly into local communities, allowing residents to avoid traveling to a traditional MVC agency for many routine transactions.
Residents planning to obtain a REAL ID should review the MVC's documentation requirements before their appointment to ensure they bring all necessary identification and proof of address. Appointments can be scheduled through the state's Mobile Unit Appointment Scheduling portal once registration opens.
