MENDHAM, NJ — A longtime Mendham Township tradition is returning this month as Brookside Engine Company No. 1 prepares to host its 56th Annual Family Clambake.
The event will take place Sept. 12 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Brookside Community Club Field, located at 1 East Main St. in Brookside.
Organizers are coming off a record-setting clambake in 2025 and are inviting residents to return for an afternoon of food, music, and activities while getting a chance to meet members of the volunteer fire company.
The all-inclusive menu features some of the event's longtime favorites, including steamers, a raw clam bar and clam chowder. Burgers, hot dogs, sausage and peppers, chicken, corn on the cob, veggie burgers and veggie chili will also be available.
Dessert will include ice cream from Mendham Creamery and French pastries, while beverage options include soda, beer, wine, hard cider and craft beer.
The family-friendly event will also feature live music, children's activities and cornhole.
The annual clambake has been a fixture in the Mendham Township community for decades. Brookside Engine Company was established in 1916 and remains an all-volunteer organization.
Adult tickets for guests 21 and older are $75. Junior tickets for ages 13 to 20 are $45, while children's tickets for ages 6 to 12 are $35. First responder pricing will also be available at the event for those who arrive in department apparel and show identification at the gate.
Tickets and additional information are available through the Brookside Engine Company website.
