Atlantic Health System Named One of Country's Best Places to Work

For the seventh consecutive year one of New Jersey’s largest health systems has been named one of the best companies in the country to work for.

Atlantic Health System, the parent company for Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, Newton Medical Center, Chilton Medical Center, and Goryeb Children’s Hospital will be featured in Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list, scheduled for release on March 9.

Atlantic Health joins the likes of national corporations including Google, Whole Foods, and Twitter.

“It may be our seventh year, but our repeated recognition by Fortune isn’t a matter of luck,” said Andrew Kovach, vice president, human resources and chief administrative officer, Atlantic Health System in a statement. “It shows that the high value we place on our workers is not only appreciated, but is also the driving force behind the excellence, innovation, achievement and growth throughout our organization.”

The popular annual list is based on a methodology of five criterion, including credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaradarie. Employees of participating organizations complete a survey and in-depth questionnaire about their programs and company practices.

Atlantic Health was officially ranked 39th on the list.
