Soaking Rain, Wind, Snowstorm Could Hit New Jersey, PA Sunday, Monday Morning
Drivers could also be subjected to a messy Monday morning commute. Single-digit cold temperatures coming Friday night, Saturday morning.
Remember that warmer-than-usual weather we’re supposed to get? It’s not supposed to last.
Soaking rain, snow and wind will hit New Jersey and Pennsylvania on Sunday, and then continue into the early part of next week, forecasters say.
That forecast could also make for a messy Monday morning commute.

The National Weather Service says snow will fall on most of New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania beginning Sunday morning at 7 a.m., then change to rain before changing back to snow.
Temperatures are also supposed to sink into the single digits Friday night and on Saturday morning. Wind gusts will approach 15 mph on Saturday and Sunday, while the wind chill will dip to 0 degrees Saturday.

National Weather Service maps say snow will cover much of North and Central Jersey on Monday morning, down to the northern tip of Ocean County.
Other forecasters provided similar predictions.
The I-95 corridor from Boston to New Jersey, all the way to Washington, D.C., will see mostly rain, while locations farther inland will see snow. There is a chance that the rain may change over to snow before ending on Monday, according to The Weather Channel.
Weather Channel winter weather expert Tom Niziol said it’s still too early to predict the exact location and amount of snow that could occur from this system.
While the weather pattern will continue to progress to milder conditions, chilly air will come back to the Northeast early next week, according to Accuweather.
A dip in the jet stream into the Northeastern states will persist enough to allow waves of chilly air to sweep southward.
AccuWeather.com Long Range Expert Paul Pastelok, in a news release, said: “Very cold air has been hanging on near Hudson Bay, Canada, and has forced storms to track farther south across Ontario and Quebec.”
