Boys Soccer Starts Season On Right Foot

Opening-game win matches regular-season total from 2012.

The epic run to the NJSIAA Group III semifinal round from the 16 seed was no fluke in 2012.

The team kicked off the season with a 4-1 win over Cranford earlier this week, and lost a heartbreaker to Delbarton, 1-0 Thursday, according to nj.com.

That victory over Cranford matches Mendham’s regular season total from all of 2012, according to dailyrecord.com.

But that didn’t stop the team from stringing together a handful of wins out of the bottom seed of its bracket last fall; an achievement it hopes to surpass this season.
