Coldwell Banker Mendham Seeking Donations for Disabled Veterans’ Home

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Mendham is continuing their support of a disabled veterans' home in Chester Township in Chester Township and needs your help.

 

MENDHAM, N.J. - (June 14, 2013) – Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Mendham hosted a two-day rummage sale to benefit We Are Team Jersey and Morris Habitat for Humanity during April’s Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage “Cares Days” event. The office, on behalf of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares, recently presented Morris Habitat for Humanity with a check for $1,037.25 to help with the renovation of a three-unit home for disabled veterans in Chester Township run by Community Hope. The Mendham office will also be giving approximately the same amount to We Are Team Jersey for Hurricane Sandy shore relief.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is still running a collection of items that Community Hope said are needed by the veterans at the three living units. All the following can be dropped off at the Mendham real estate office’s 106A East Main Street location: kitchen items for the three kitchens including dishes, plates and bowls; pots and pans; glasses and mugs; flatware; general kitchen utensils such as potato peelers, can openers, large spoons and spatulas; small kitchen appliances including coffee makes, toasters and microwaves; dish cloths and pot holders; bath items; towel sets for four people; bath mats and shower curtains for three bathrooms; lamps; three door mats; and four sets of full-sized bed linens including sheets, blankets, comforters and pillows.

During Cares Days, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s 58 offices throughout New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y. each gave back to their local communities through the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Foundation, the company’s philanthropic arm.

Approximately 800 Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage sales associates participated in Cares Days during the three-day event. Along with volunteering a combined 5,000 hours to support 62 different organizations and causes, the sales associates raised $13,000 for charity. In addition, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage collected 5,000 pounds of food (valued at $13,900) and $750 in dog and cat supplies.
