Bragg Principal Leaves For Sparta Post

Bragg Principal Dan Johnson loves a challenge, and his latest career move will take the principal of the year (both and ) to take the big chair as principal of Sparta High School.

The Jefferson resident announced Monday night his official acceptance as principal of the Sussex County High School. According to a report from the Sparta Independent, former Sparta High School Principal and current superintendent Dennis Tobin put together a search committee for his successor that narrowed the field from many internal and external candidates down to four.

After interviews with four finalists, Johnson was brought before the full board for a final vote at their meeting on Monday night at the high school media center.

"I am so excited and proud to be part of such a great school district," Johnson said.
