Brookside Woman, St. Joseph's Parishioner Dies at 83

Rose McAliney spent the last 38 years living in Brookside.

The former AT&T supervisor died at her home recently at age 83, according to her obituary.

McAliney was born in Brooklyn and lived in Queens and Elmsford, New York before moving to Brookside in 1976.

McAliney was a supervisor for AT&T in Manhattan, White Plains, and then Bedminster before retiring in 1988. McAliney worked at Mendham Country Day School in Basking Ridge after retirement, and was a longtime parishioner at St. Joseph Church in Mendham.

McAliney is survived by two nephews, two sisters, and one brother.
