<a href="https://www.redwoodsgrillandbar.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Redwoods Grill &amp; Bar</a> will generously donate 10% of all sales for one day to benefit <a href="https://therosehouse.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Rose House</a>, a nonprofit that creates affordable housing for adults with special needs!
All proceeds will support Rose House's Forever Home Project, a new housing complex in Chester, NJ, for 12 more adults with developmental disabilities. The dine-to-donate event will be held on Wednesday, November 18, from noon until 9 PM. Stop by the Rose House info table by the bar area from 5 to 8 PM to meet some residents and learn more about the lives you’re helping change!

Schiff's Woodland Wellness Series features five guided experiences led by local practitioners with expertise in lifestyle medicine, nature therapy, forest bathing, creative healing, and outdoor education.

Explore how nature's daily and seasonal rhythms influence sleep, energy, mood, and overall health. </li>
<li>Friday, September 11 – 9:30-11 AM - Nature Journaling: Curiosity, Observation &amp; Perspective 
Discover the art of slowing down through guided observation, sketching, writing, and reflection.</li>
<li>Friday, October 10 – 9:30-11:30 AM – Forest Bathing: Early Autumn 
Experience the woodland through guided sensory invitations that cultivate presence and connection.</li>
<li>Saturday, October 24 – 9:30-11:30 AM – Intuitive Art in Nature 
Draw inspiration from the forest through intuitive art and creative expression.</li>
<li>Friday, October 30 – 1:30-3:30 PM - Forest Bathing: Peak Autumn 
Immerse yourself in the beauty of peak fall foliage through an afternoon of mindful exploration and woodland tea.</li>
</ul>
Programs are designed for participants ages 18 and older and take place primarily on Schiff's woodland trails. Guests should expect uneven terrain and are encouraged to wear hiking boots and weather-appropriate clothing.
Program fees range from $45 to $55, with discounted pricing available for Schiff Nature Preserve members. Advance registration is required, and space is limited.

Night hikes provide us with an all together magical experience. Schiff’s Full Moon Hikes are an excellent opportunity to see our beautiful landscape by the light of the moon. Discover the magic of hiking at night while the moon is at its fullest, when even the most familiar trails reveal sights and sounds, they only share with the cool, quiet night. This 2 mile, 1 ½ hour hike is perfect for all experience levels, but best for guests ages 8 and above (parent/guardian supervision required throughout the program's entirety) . Guests should expect to walk on uneven terrain. Guests are advised to wear hiking boots, weather appropriate attire, and bring headlamps to have on hand. Member fee is $15 per person. Non-member fee is $20 per person. Please, no pets are permitted. These walks are very popular, so early, advance registration and payment are required to confirm your place and receive any additional information in advance of the program.

Is your family looking for an alternative to Halloween?
Come join us on October 31st from 3-5 pm for the Kids Fall Party!
This event is geared towards Pre-k through Elementary aged children and their families.
We will have candy, a bounce house, crafts, and open gym play. If weather permits, we also have a large field to play in!
**Please be aware that the candy is individually wrapped but may contain common allergens.**
The Kids Fall Party is not a drop off event. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
No costumes please!

On Thursday, November 5th at 7pm, join Mendham Township Brookside Engine Company Deputy Chet, Jeff Betz as he explores the 110-year history of the Brookside Engine Company at the Mendham Township Library.
The first evidence of any organized fire protection in Mendham Township dates back to 1914 when the Township Committee passed an ordinance in December of 1914 that recommended a forest fire service be created and that a fire warden be appointed. Township clerk, Frank V. Dean, was appointed as the first warden.Join current day Brookside Engine Company Deputy Chief, Jeff Betz as he explores the 110-year history of the Brookside Engine Company.
About Mendham Township Historic Preservation Committee:
Mendham Township’s Historic Preservation Committee has likely existed in official and unofficial forms since the township’s formation.Notes and Town record books and documents kept from the late 1700s and early 1800s take great care to document which families lived where and the old Native American footpaths which eventually would become Route 24.In 2018, the Township officially established via ordinance the Historic Preservation Committee. Some of the Committee’s responsibilities include review of applications for development, advise on said applications, make recommendations for preservation of historic sites, and prepare a survey of historic sites.The Historic Preservation Committee is dedicated to preserving Mendham Township’s historic nature and charm.
Join us for this NEW lecture series about local history sponsored by Mendham Township Historic Preservation Committee.The Local History Lecture Series will take place on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 7pm from September – December.

Local History Lecture Series: Brookside Engine Company at 110! at the Mendham Township Library

Dan Bern is a captivating live performer who has enthralled a loyal and ever-growing fan base in the US and Europe since the mid ‘90s. His songs range from deeply moving to wildly imaginative and hilarious, often within the same song.
He has been compared favorably to the great masters of songwriting, such as Guthrie, Dylan, Costello. Though he draws from the great American tradition of songwriting, there is something deeply unique and compelling that make you want to get to know the man behind the songs.
He conjures incredibly specific imagery like in a painting. Though he may turn to cynicism and political satire at times, the beauty of his work is that he is able to imagine better worlds, revealing a deep capacity for empathy and optimism. Bern connects with his audiences skillfully and directly, weaving the topical and local in with the more universal themes. He has written for many films and TV shows and has made more than thirty albums.In late 2024, Laurie&nbsp;MacAllister&nbsp;embarked on an exciting new chapter, launching a solo career with a sold-out performance at the legendary Club Passim.
